It’s less than a month until the release of The Half of It! Finally our book baby will be out in the world very soon.
To celebrate the launch, you’ll be able to catch us IRL, which really means so much to us as new authors to have you come down to see us in person. We’ve met so many incredible people over the years since we started recording the podcast and your presence is everything.
We had such a wonderful time at our supperclub last month, being able to share the early copies with you over a delicious meal prepared by Ana da Costa and a live interview with Anna Sulan. A time was had! If you missed it, don’t worry, we will definitely be planning another one very soon!

Mixed Messages Live (SOLD OUT)
Isabella Silvers of Mixed Messages is hosting the first ever Mixed Messages Live! Nicole will be appearing on the panel alongside Jassa Ahluwalia, author of Both Not Half and Hanako Footman, author of Mongrel.
We will be appearing at Brighton Book Festival at the iconic Afrori Books, hosted by Bud Johnston, the next day on 19 June. Tickets are £8.
We are appearing at Latitude for a live podcast recording of Mixed Up! Catch us on stage at The Listening Post on 26 July! Tickets available here.

Emma Slade Edmondson and Nicole Ocran created the award-winning Mixed Up podcast in 2020 to discuss race and identity through the lens of the mixed-race perspective.
They have interviewed the likes of Afua Hirsch, Ben Bailey Smith, Big Zuu, Emma Dabiri, Jassa Ahluwalia, Jordan Stephens, Kit de Waal, Mel B and Travis Alabanza over the last five seasons.
Emma Slade Edmondson is a London and Paris based creative director, writer and speaker specialising in social change and sustainability for over a decade, working to elevate brands, initiatives and organisations that have a desire to do social and environmental good.
Nicole Ocran is an American writer, journalist and fashion influencer who has been sharing her personal style and London life online for the past 13 years. She’s the co-founder of The Creator Union, a union campaigning for fair pay for digital creatives and influencers.
